I read the whole article but I am mainly going to focus on the first portion about M&M's. This also has to do with the 1940's era so I thought that it was appropriate. In 1941, Forrest Mars(candy-lovers might be familiar with the name Mars which is a big chocolate company) and Bruce Murrie(son of president of Hershey's) made a deal to create an appetizing, multi-colored, hard-shelled candy with a chocolate center. The reason Mars made a deal with Murrie is because he thought he might have a chocolate shortage after the war (which was true). So, Mars and Murrie's or M&M's were born. Best.Candy.Ever.

Night, chapter 6&7; read for 40 minutes

This is awful. Horrible. In the convoy car, on their way to the next concentration camp they go slow through some German cities. Cruel bystanders throw in bread crusts and watch . They observe these men like their animals. Anyway, one old man manages to get some bread for him and his son. But his son doesn't know some is for him so he kills his father to get the crust. In the midst of his death the father is saying things like "No, my little Meir I got some for you too..." It was awful. It makes me feel like an ungrateful spoiled brat because, I didn't even eat my crusts.

Night, Chapters 8&9; Read for 35 minutes

This is where the book starts to get really sad. It's hard to even imagine the thoughts that are going through Elie's head. He's thinking " I wish I could just die now." But then he sees his father. His weak, sick old father. The only reason he doesn't just die now is because of his dad. He doesn't want to leave him in hid time of need. And the thoughts his dad must be thinking. There not even thoughts really. Just "Need to sleep. Just let me lay down for one minute, please, Elie have pity on me" He wants to lay down and go to sleep in the snow because he hasn't eaten or slept in two days. But, the thing is, if you go to sleep in the snow, well,  it's more than likely that you won't wake up. Ever. But Elie's father is so sick and exhausted he doesn't even notice that he's dying. It's horrible and awful. I can't even imagine it.

Readers Response 3 week 0f 4/4-4/8

I like this article, because I like makeup. It gives you a lot of different facts and opinions. Plus there are a lot of tips which really come in handy. It tells you that if you need to stick to a budget  then to just get charcoal or gray eyeshadow. Men like smoky eye makeup. It says if you wanna go all out find the eyeshadow that is right for your skin tone, but you don't have to stick strictly to that color. Go crazy, live a little. Mix and match for I style that rocks.

Title: http://www.article-orator.com/cosmetics/professional-teeth-whitening-treatment --- whole article, 2 minutes

This was actually a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. It gave reasons why to get your teeth whitened and how it was done. I really liked it because it had a good balance of fact and opinion. An examlpe of facts are that:
Teeth whitening gets cheaper every day
There are no negative side affects
And it makes your smile beautiful
Ha! Gotcha!  That third one is an OPINION not a FACT silly goose!

Night, chapter 4. Time--- 30 minutes

I love this book. I love it. I love the irony, and the unbelieveability. I love the feeling, when I'm reading it and I think " I just remembered, this isn't a story. This is real." I like how everyone is optimistic but, Elie, the boy, I boy beyond his years but a boy still, knows what's going on. How he has lost all hope and all faith. How all of these people are still loyal to God, but he questions. Why should I put my faith in Him when he sits and watches us burn. Oh my gosh. It hit me. I've been sitting here, trying to think of a reason the Holocaust happened. Maybe it was a test? Maybe not. Gods reasoning is beyond humanity.

Skeleton Creek, read whole book

I really wasn't to fond of this book. It's my first read and it's boring. Not a good sign. It isn't a memorable book. It won't stick in my brain, that's for sure. And plus it's totally cliche. A predictable plot with no twists. It's a dead-end book basically. Like Love, Stargirl. This book sucked a little bit. I might read it agaon and look at it from a different perspective but for now it still stinks.

Title: The absolutely True Diary of a part-time indian, whole book read

This book was good. Actually it was really good. It was a memorable book. This was a re-read and now I see why it won so many awards. It's an intriguing story about a misunderstood teen, with a lot of problems most teens don't have. A community that thinks you're a traitor, alcoholic drug-addict parents and going to a school where EVERYONE literally hates you. Because you are a Native American going to an all white school ten miles from the reservation. Plus he has a stutter and a lisp. I feel bad for him but I guess all his problems made him a great... comedian? Apparently because he is really funny. A good, sad funny book. I like it like I like a JB song. It's fond to me.

I still really love this book. It's really depressing but that's okay because the sadness teaches me that I'm really spoiled. I eat 3 meals a day plus snacks. They get a slice of bread every day. I can't even imagine that. Molly is in my group and we were talking and she said they should make a summer camp thing that was like " a day in the life of a person in a concentration camp." I mean you wouldn't have a risk of dying or anything but you would get slight rations and be worked to the bone all day. I doubt any of the kids in America could even come close to handling it. We think we are in bad times. We don't even know what bad times are. The world today...
